16th MEMORIAL OF BRANKO BOŠNJAK

On the November 26. 2011. „16. Branko Bošnjak Memorial“ was held in Samobor. It was organised by Kyokushin karate club “Mladost” from Samobor and “Veteran Association SJP Alfa”.

This year and every year since the founding of the memorial tournament, Club of Warrior arts “Bujinkan Seishin Dojo” (BSD) Zagreb performed a demonstration of a Warrior art Ninjutsu.

On the November 26. 2011. „16. Branko Bošnjak Memorial“ was held in Samobor. It was organised by Kyokushin karate club “Mladost” from Samobor and “Veteran Association SJP Alfa”.

This year the memorial was held in elementary school „Bogumil Toni“. This memorial is held every your in memory of Branko Bošnjak, deceased member of SJP „Alfa“ (Special police unit), and long time member of Kyokunshikai karate club, On this year memorial competition there was 70 competitors from Greece, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Switzerland and Croatia.

Memorial was held under the patronage of Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Family Affairs, War Veterans and Intergenerational Solidarity; Ministry of Science, Education and Sport, Sport Adminstration of City of Samobor and Samobor sport alliance.

Again memorial was organised on a very high level. This year and every year since the founding of the memorial tournament, Club of Warrior arts “Bujinkan Seishin Dojo” Zagreb performed a demonstration of a Warrior art Ninjutsu. Club of Warrior arts “Bujinkan Seishin Dojo” Zagreb and Kyokushin karate club “Samobor” have a long history and good cooperation. They are connected even more because Branko Bošnjak was a friend and a War commander of Shihan Dean Rostohar in a Homeland War.

Ninjutsu demonstaration was prepared and preformed by students of BSD Zagreb: Davor Gašparović 10. Dan Kugyo Menkyo, Goran Malić 4. Dan, Igor Jašarević 2. Dan, Roko Nikolić 2. Dan, Hana Demoli 2. Dan and Maja Bartolić 1. Dan.

In the auxiliary hall you could view the exhibition of „Association of War veterans SJP Alfa“ in wich they have marked 20 years of their founding. In the exhibition you could view photographs of all the unit members. Also you could see the pictures of those that lost their lives defending the sovereignty of Republic of Croatia.

After the competition, all participants continued to socialize on the traditional „sayonara party“.

Impressions of guests and competitors were excellent and the organiser recevied many praise for organisation.
